Western Wall

Description

The Western Wall, also known as the Wailing Wall or the Kotel, is a holy site in Jerusalem’s Old City. This stock image shows the massive wall made of Jerusalem stone, with visitors and worshipers standing in front of it. The Western Wall is part of the retaining wall of the Temple Mount, the holiest site in Judaism, and is believed to be the only remaining part of the Second Temple, which was destroyed by the Romans in 70 CE.

The wall is revered by Jews as a place of prayer, and people from all over the world come to pray and leave written prayers in the cracks between the stones.

The image captures the spiritual and historic significance of the Western Wall as a symbol of Jewish faith and identity.
