Graduates of vocational and technical secondary education institutions will be placed directly into associate degree programs at vocational schools or open education programs without an entrance exam. These programs will either continue the field of study they completed or closely align with it, starting with institutions in their own Vocational and Technical Education Region (METEB) and extending to those outside their region if necessary.
For Turkish citizens who graduated from vocational and technical secondary institutions outside Turkey and Northern Cyprus, the placement will be based on the field indicated in the equivalency certificate provided by the Ministry of National Education.
The Vocational and Technical Education Region (METEB) is an educational zone consisting of vocational and technical secondary institutions associated with one or more vocational schools, maintaining program continuity. Each province has one vocational and technical education region.
Graduates from Vocational and Technical Education Centers (METEM) are also eligible to apply for direct placement.
Direct placement will follow a centralized system based on the following priorities:
- Priority is given to recent graduates.
- Among graduates from the same year, priority is assigned as follows:
- 1st: Anatolian Technical High School,
- 2nd: Technical High School and Anatolian Vocational High School,
- 3rd: Vocational High School,
- 4th: Vocational high schools that graduated under the title of “institute” in earlier years.
- Among candidates with the same graduation year and school type, those within the same METEB region are prioritized.
