Robinson’s Arch

Description

Robinson’s Arch is a stock image that depicts an ancient archway in Jerusalem, which was once part of the supporting structure for the Second Temple. The arch is named after the American biblical scholar Edward Robinson, who discovered it in 1838. The archway is made of large stone blocks and features two arches, one above the other, with a stone staircase in between.

The archway was part of a causeway that led from the Temple Mount to the city of Jerusalem. Today, the archway is a popular tourist attraction and a symbol of the city’s rich religious history.

The image can be used to represent ancient Jerusalem, the Second Temple, or the importance of archaeology in studying biblical history.
